What PrintCut keeps about you, and why.
Who is responsible
PrintCut is run by Rezbeen Nahar Richi, trading as PrintCut, House 4, Road 10, Priyanka Runway City, Uttara, Dhaka 1230, Bangladesh. We decide what happens to your information. Contact: [email protected].
Your account
We keep your email and a protected form of your password, and a name if you give one. Signing in with Google or a passkey is optional. If you use Google, we receive your email and name from Google and nothing else. We keep your account, and the projects in it, until you ask us to delete them. We need this to provide the service you signed up for.
Your projects
Your projects are stored on our server and tied to your account. Shared links show only what you chose to share, never your email. If you email a share link through PrintCut, we send it to the address you type and do not keep that address.
Security records
To protect accounts we keep the internet address (IP address) of sign-in attempts and other security events, and use it to limit repeated attempts. These records are kept for security only, and deleted after 90 days.
Visit counts
We count visits to learn which pages and links bring people here. We record the source (for example a link or a campaign tag), the page landed on, and nothing that identifies you: no address and no cookie. Your browser also remembers the first source that brought you here. If you then create an account, we attach it to the account to learn which links bring sign-ups.
Cookies
We use no advertising cookies and no tracking cookies. The cookies we set:
- lf_session keeps you signed in (30 days, or until you sign out);
- lf_admin_session keeps our staff signed in to the staff site (12 hours);
- lf_google_state, lf_google_link and lf_webauthn last a few minutes, while you sign in with Google or a passkey;
- pc_share_… is set only after you type the password of a shared link, so the link stays open for you.
Your browser also keeps two small notes of its own (lf_first_touch and lf_visit_sent) so a visit is counted once; they never leave your browser except as the visit count above.
We send email, such as confirmations and password resets, through Resend. We only email you about your account, your plan, your submissions, or a message you sent us.
Messages you send us
Messages from the contact form are kept until the conversation is closed, plus 12 months.
Template submissions
Templates and photos you submit are kept until you withdraw them or ask us to delete them; we remove location and camera details from photos. If a template you submitted is published, your display name (never your email) is shown as its creator.
Free tries and payments
Free Assemble tries: to stop one network taking many free tries, we keep a scrambled code made from part of your network address (never the address itself) for 30 days, then delete it. Payments: Lemon Squeezy, our reseller, takes your card and billing details; we keep only your plan, its dates and what you bought, for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Why we may use it
We use your account, projects, submissions and plan to provide the service you asked for (a contract with you). We keep security records, visit counts, the free-try code and contact messages because we have a legitimate interest in keeping PrintCut safe, fair and improving. We keep billing records because the law requires it.
Who handles it for us
Your information is stored on our server in France, in the European Union, with encrypted backups in Cloudflare R2. These companies handle parts of it for us, only to do their job:
- our server host, in France;
- Cloudflare (network, security and backups), USA;
- Resend (email), USA;
- Lemon Squeezy (payments, as merchant of record), USA;
- Google, only if you choose to sign in with Google, USA.
When information goes to the USA or another country outside the EU and UK, it is protected by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses that these companies use.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, give you a copy to take elsewhere, or stop or limit using it. Email [email protected]; we answer within 30 days. If you are in the EU or the UK and not happy with our answer, you can complain to your data protection authority.
Children
PrintCut is for people aged 16 and over. If you believe a younger child has an account, tell us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change how we use your information in an important way, we email you before it applies.
